Big Day for Figueroa in 8-3 Gladiators Win
Led by Ben Figueroa, the Phoenix Gladiators downed the Dallas Dragons, 8-3. Figueroa was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Gladiators. Phoenix pitcher Moises Cruz got the win. He's now 11-9. Bobby Henderson was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Josh Shropshire. He's now 1 for 1 in save chances.

Figueroa contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Phoenix in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Figueroa took a changeup from Bobby Henderson and stroked the home run to right. His 19th home run of the season allowed the Gladiators to leap in front, 5-3.

Figueroa told a Phoenix Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
