Sam Salas helped his team muscle past the Indianapolis Eagles, 6-5. In the game, the Toronto right fielder was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Alex Gomez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. James Gibson, who is tied for 5th in the NC in holds with 11, was tagged with the loss. Evan Sippel earned his 19th save in 21 tries.

Salas had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from James Gibson, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Trash Pandas a 6-5 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Salas.

"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said Salas.

The Trash Pandas now have a record of 83-71 with the win over Indianapolis.
