Pittman Goes Deep Twice in 9-2 Fleet Win
The San Diego Fleet defeated the New York Nightmare, 9-2. Doing his part was third baseman Paul Pittman, who belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. San Diego pitcher Corey Gruver got the win. He's now 6-3. Tony Figueroa was tagged with the loss. With the win, San Diego raised its record to 36-23.

With San Diego leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Pittman hit a circle change from Tony Figueroa for a 3-run home run. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the Fleet ahead, 4-0.

"Things went our way," said Pittman.
