Riding the 2-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Cory Bloodsaw, the Toronto Trash Pandas stopped the Maine Pines, 3-2, in 9 innings. Jim Murphy, who is tied for 6th in the NC in wins with 14, was the winner. He's now 14-6. The loser was Justin Jemison. Mal Burkes picked up the save, his 1st.
Bloodsaw had a key at-bat for Toronto in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and gave Toronto an early 2-0 lead.
Bloodsaw attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
The Trash Pandas move to 87-66 with the win, while the Pines drop to 80-73.
