The Montreal Maroons picked up a win at Nightmare Stadium, dropping the New York Nightmare, 4-3, in 10 innings. Mario Salazar, who led the AC in ERA with 2.67 in 2019, was the difference-maker. Josh McQuaid earned the save, his 4th in 5 tries. Montreal has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
Montreal used the timely hitting of Chris Quinton to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Maroons on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Quinton.
