The San Francisco Fire beat the Vancouver Caribou, 11-4, at San Francisco Grounds. Noel Cusack, in particular, was impressive. He was 4 for 5 with 2 triples and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times. San Francisco now sits at 68-85, while Vancouver falls to 75-78.

Eric Barlow had a big bases-clearing double for the Fire in the bottom of the first inning. With San Francisco leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Joe Brackett, who is tied for 10th in the NC with a 10.0 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to left. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fire ahead, 6-0.

"I felt good up there," said Cusack. "I saw the ball well."
