Cincinnati got a terrific performance from pitcher Lee Morgan, but it wasn't enough to beat the Boston Whistlers. Boston won the The Castle contest, 5-3. Morgan threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The Whistlers lead the American Conference Central Division by a game.

Ben King came through with a big-time hit for Boston. The left fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Said Boston manager Ben Foster: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
