Hollywood Grounds played host to some exciting baseball.

The Hollywood Stars had to overcome a fine effort from Oakland pitcher Randy Fischer to win, 3-2, in 13 innings at Hollywood Grounds. Fischer went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. With the win, the Stars improved to 73-78.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Hollywood. That's when Eric Daniel hit a solo home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Bueno to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Daniel said.
