Fire Lose, 3-1
|
Hollywood starter Bruce Gagnon put a stranglehold on the San Francisco offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Stars to a 3-1 win. Victor Trevino earned the save for Hollywood, his 2nd. At 69-82, the Stars are currently last in the National Conference West Division.
Hollywood used a well-timed hit by Aharon Kroyan to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Stars ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Gagnon, "and then get after it again."
