Desperados Rally to Nose Past New York
The Austin Desperados picked up a win at Nightmare Stadium, knocking off the New York Nightmare, 5-4. On the mound for Austin was right-hander Jason Emary. He played a key role in the triumph. The Desperados now have a record of 85-66 with the win over New York.

With the bases empty and one out in the top of the eighth inning, pinch hitter Jesse Griffin delivered big for the Desperados. Austin was trailing 4-3 when he belted a solo home run.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Griffin said.
