Late Rally Earns Detroit 3-1 Win
In a low-scoring contest between the Detroit Giants and the Dallas Dragons, 31-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Shevlin proved to be the difference. The Detroit right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Giants win. Devin Wickliffe notched his 48th save of the season. The second-place Giants go to 78-73.

Detroit took a 3-1 lead on Jalen Joyner's 16th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Joyner hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Dallas pitcher Adrian Huffine visibly frustrated.

"Enjoyed this one," Shevlin told the Detroit Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
