The San Francisco Fire defeated the Charleston Sea Dogs, 8-7, at San Francisco Grounds. Leading the charge for San Francisco was first baseman Jeff Mullinax. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Jesus Henriguez, now 1-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The slumping Sea Dogs have lost 7 straight.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Mullinax hit a sinker from Shane Kidd for a run-scoring double. The Fire, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
