Halifax parlayed a decent outing from starter Joe Hart into a solid win over the Detroit Giants. The final score was 6-2. The win puts Halifax at 95-55 this season.

Halifax used a well-timed hit by Mike Costello to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Heathens ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Joe's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Halifax manager David Morris.
