Indianapolis Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Indianapolis Eagles reigned over the Chicago Gangsters in damp conditions.
Jesse Walker helped his team muscle past the Chicago Gangsters, 4-1. In the game, the Indianapolis pitcher threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. After today's action, Indianapolis sits at 85-65, while Chicago falls to 58-92.
The decisive blow was delivered by Tony Bradshaw in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Andy Bennett to win the game for Indianapolis. The home crowd went nuts.
Said losing manager Antonio Valdez: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
