Whistlers Get Clonked by Eagles, 6-0
The Indianapolis Eagles beat the Boston Whistlers, 6-0. Indianapolis pitcher and Oviedo, Florida, native Jesse Walker led the way. The Whistlers, now 73-76, have lost 4 straight.

Marc McCain had a big run-scoring triple for the Eagles in the bottom of the second inning. With Indianapolis leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Jay Helm, who leads the AC in quality starts with 22, and swatted a triple to right. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Eagles ahead, 2-0.

Indianapolis manager Pete DuBay praised his team's "businesslike approach."
