The Halifax Heathens beat the Detroit Giants, 6-4. Halifax pitcher and Irvine, California, native Chris Booth led the way. Booth got the win, improving to 13-4. He gave up 2 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Miguel Soto earned his 20th save in 24 chances.
The Heathens got a big at-bat from left fielder Gustavo Orozco. For the game, Orozco went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Halifax a 2-0 lead.
