Eagles Saddle Whistlers with 3-1 Loss
Starting pitcher Rodney Caporn gave the Indianapolis Eagles a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Boston Whistlers, 3-1, at Eagles Stadium. The third-place Eagles improved to 79-69.

Indianapolis took the lead, 3-1, on Henry Cortez's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Boston pitcher Matthew Rowlands in the bottom of the seventh.

"Main thing is I want the team to win," Caporn told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
