Eagles Get Past Boston, 2-1
Indianapolis picked up a win at Eagles Stadium, bumping off the Boston Whistlers, 2-1. Pitcher Victor Angel was a major reason the Eagles emerged victorious. The win for the Eagles raised their record to 77-71.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Alex Sanchez in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a solo home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Cowels to win it for Indianapolis and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

Sanchez told a Indianapolis Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
