Nightmare Pull Out Late-Game Win, 4-3
The New York Nightmare had to overcome a fine effort from Phoenix pitcher Rob Alvarez to win, 4-3, at Gladiators Ballpark. Alvarez went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The Nightmare raised their record to 53-95.

New York used the clutch hitting of Brian Eller to snag the win. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Nightmare ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Nice win for us," said Eller. "Now we'll go after the next one."
