Philadelphia right fielder Art McDonald had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. McDonald went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Dallas beat the Marauders, 5-3. Dallas is now 69-78.

Rocky Hawke's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 3rd and the game tied, 3-3. The Dallas third baseman hit a run-scoring single off Danny Heasley to put the Dragons up.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Dallas manager Edgar Puente. "It's usually not just one thing."
