The Detroit Giants trumped the Austin Desperados, 8-3, at Dell Diamond. Detroit left fielder Keith Brosch was terrific. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Detroit raised its record to 82-65.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ryan Forsythe? The Detroit third baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Giants on top, 1-0. For the game, Forsythe had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Forsythe. "And not try to do too much."
