Giants Deal Fire 7-4 Defeat
|
The Detroit Giants took on the San Francisco Fire at San Francisco Grounds.
Ryan Forsythe was a major contributor to the 7-4 Detroit win over San Francisco. The Giants first baseman went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. With the win, Detroit raised its record to 75-71.
Detroit used a well-timed hit by Jalen Joyner to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Giants ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Joyner, "and then get after it again."
