Barajas Slugs Dragons to 4-2 Win
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Dallas Dragons got the win.
The Dallas Dragons topped the Boston Whistlers by the score of 4-2, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Pablo Barajas. Barajas hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Dragons. Tony Lopez got the win, improving to 4-15. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 14 and walking 3.
With Dallas leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Barajas hit a fastball from John Way for a 2-run home run. It was his 32nd home run of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 3-0.
Barajas told a Dallas Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The victory puts Dallas at 50-96.
