Walk-Off Seals 81st Victory for Shiners
|
Ballpark of Charleston played host to some exciting baseball.
The Charleston Shiners knocked off the Syracuse Scorpions, 4-0, in National Conference action at Ballpark of Charleston. Charleston pitcher and Miramar, Florida, native Jon McDonald had an outstanding performance. Charleston reliever Jon Reynolds got the win, raising his record to 5-6. Elijah Miller was tagged with the loss.
The decisive blow was delivered by Nick Wisniewski in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a grand slam home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Elijah Miller to win the game for Charleston. The home crowd went nuts.
Wisniewski called the win "a collective effort."
The win for the Shiners raised their record to 81-65.
