Dominant Performance by Ryan in San Francisco Win
|
The San Francisco Fire picked up a win at Ballpark of Charleston, knocking off the Charleston Shiners, 3-0. Starting pitcher Adam Ryan was a big reason why. Cory Cirello got the save, his 8th in 10 chances. San Francisco now has a record of 82-63 with the win.
Ryan, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just 2 hits over 8 innings for the Fire. For the most part, Charleston hitters were simply overmatched.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" San Francisco manager Walt DeRosier said.
