Austin Loss Takes Shine Off Austin Performance
The Maine Pines outlasted John Austin and the Austin Desperados, 8-7. Austin was impressive in the loss. The Austin center fielder was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Cameron Hutchinson closed the game out for Maine, earning his 15th save. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Pines.

Maine took control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, Kevin Morrow hit a 2-run single to make it 6-4, Pines.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Maine skipper David Whigham.
