Rorie Now 12-6 After Subduing Marauders
Ray Rorie was superb against Philadelphia. The right-hander, who finished 5th in the NC in strikeouts with 245 in 2019, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Fleet victory. The score was 2-0. Devin Wickliffe earned his 12th save in 17 chances. The first-place Fleet, at 89-56, lead the National Conference West Division by 6 games.

Rorie imposed his will on the Marauders, scattering 3 hits over 6.1 innings while striking out 10. The right-hander upped his season record to 12-6.

"Ray is tough to beat when he's hitting his spots," said San Diego manager Brian Burnett.
