The winning pitcher was Trombley, now 8-8. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. At 78-67, the Shiners find themselves in second place in the National Conference South Division.
Early in the game, second baseman Danny Lebron had a 2-run home run for Charleston. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Shiners on top, 2-0.
"We take it day by day here," said Trombley, "and today was a good one for us."
