Giants Rally Late to Nip Aztecs
|
The Detroit Giants picked up a win at Ballpark of Detroit, downing the Mexico City Aztecs, 4-3. On the mound for Detroit was right-hander Julian Bryant, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, the Giants hiked their record to 75-70.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Detroit center fielder Steve McLaughlin, facing Jeff Cox, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Giants the 4-3 win.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," McLaughlin said.
