The Halifax Heathens locked up a win at Eagles Stadium, knocking off the Indianapolis Eagles, 5-4. On the mound for Halifax was left-hander Jack Ivory. He played a major role in the triumph. Jose Ojeda came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 9-2. Halifax has run its win streak to 11 straight.

Jody Jackson came through with a big-time hit for Halifax. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Halifax manager David Morris.
