Borich Stars for Marauders in 5-4 Win
The Philadelphia Marauders trumped the Hollywood Stars, 5-4, at Marauders Ballpark. Philadelphia center fielder Jim Borich was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Albert Fabian, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 8-9. The win puts the Marauders at 85-59, while the Stars drop to 70-74.

Carlos Barreto, who is on pace for 106 RBI this season, took Hollywood hurler Joe Townsend deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Marauders on top, 5-4. In all, Barreto had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Philadelphia manager Danny Ordaz.
