Hannaford Dome was the site of a competitive game between the Austin Desperados and Maine Pines.

Maine beat Austin on the strength of starting pitcher Justin Jemison's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Vinny Narvaez notched his 18th save of the season.

Maine went up, 4-3, on Julio Negron's 26th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Negron hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Austin pitcher Matt Parsons stewing.

After the game, Maine manager Chris Ware applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

At 77-67, the Pines have a slim two-game lead in the National Conference North East Division.
