Detroit third baseman Edward Salgado had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Hollywood Stars, 9-6. The win puts Detroit at 35-22 this season.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Keith Brosch came to bat in the top of the 12th. Facing Hollywood pitcher Steve Ray, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Detroit on top, 5-4.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Brosch. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
