Phantoms Pull Even With 3-0 Victory
|
Pittsburgh Phantoms starter Steve Pikula pitched a strong game against the Detroit Giants at Phantoms Field, leading the Phantoms to victory, 3-0. The win for the Phantoms raised their record to 72-72.
Quinn Kovacs, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2014 draft, chipped in for Pittsburgh with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Kovacs told the Pittsburgh Chronicle.
