The Halifax Heathens powered past the Indianapolis Eagles, 8-4, at Eagles Stadium. Chance Smith provided some of the pop. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Angel Morales picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Vince Rice, who is tied for 3rd in the NC in saves with 30, was tagged with the loss. Halifax has now won 4 in a row.

Halifax used the timely hitting of Josh Fitzgerald to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Heathens on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Fitzgerald.
