Desperados Lose to Royals in Walk-Off
The Royals grabbed a win, 6-4, at The Castle, overcoming a fine effort from Austin pitcher Byron Stanton. Stanton went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The triumph puts Cincinnati at 87-57 for the season.

Jason Paulsen played the role of hero for Cincinnati. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a 2-run home run off Joe McLaughlin to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.

"This place was electric at the end," Paulsen said.
