Extra-Inning Win by Royals Over Trash Pandas
Toronto first baseman Paul McComas had a good game, even if his team did not. The Trash Pandas dropped a 5-4 decision to Cincinnati at The Castle. McComas went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Guadalupe Lorenzo. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-7. The win has Cincinnati at 53-90.

The Royals relied on catcher Chris Caruso for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Toronto manager Matt Armijo.
