Stars Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
|
Hollywood and Vancouver put this game in the books despite some rain.
The Hollywood Stars picked up a win at Mounties Field, downing the Vancouver Caribou, 5-3. On the mound for Hollywood was right-hander Alfredo Tiscareno, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win belonged to Chris Dries in relief. His record improves to 5-4. John Gray took the loss for Vancouver.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Elijah Moody? The two-time All-Star Moody stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put Hollywood up, 4-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Hollywood manager Alex Aguilera.
The Stars have now reeled off 6 straight wins.
