Royals Pick Up 7-2 Win Against Toronto
|
The Cincinnati Royals defeated the Toronto Trash Pandas, 7-2. Doing his part was second baseman Jaden York, who was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win was credited to 23-year old left-handed pitcher Cory Mattson in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Jaylen Taylor took the loss. Cincinnati now sits at 74-69, while Toronto falls to 80-63.
Cincinnati catcher Mike Rankin helped the Royals go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Rankin hit a run-scoring single off Toronto pitcher Jaylen Taylor.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," York said.
