Robinson Powers Dragons to 9-2 Win
|
The Dallas Dragons beat the Austin Desperados, 9-2, at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. Joe Robinson, who led the AC in OPS with .942 last year, starred for Dallas. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Bill Flowers, the winner, goes to 2-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 9 strikeouts over 8 innings. The setback makes Austin 81-62.
With Dallas leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Robinson hit a changeup from Sam Campos for a 2-run double. It was his 47th double of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 4-0.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Robinson.
