The Maine Pines dealt the Indianapolis Eagles a 6-5 loss at Eagles Stadium. Skyler Fundis was the star on offense. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Mike Poussard, now 10-6, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. Chris Hames nailed down the save.

Fabian Hartnett came through with a big-time hit for Maine. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I still think this team can play even better," Hartnett told the Maine Citizen.

The Pines lead the National Conference North East Division by 12½ games.
