Black Slugs Nightmare to 7-2 Win
The New York Nightmare beat the Fountain Hills 23ers, 7-2, at Nightmare Stadium. The Nightmare got a fine performance from designated hitter Rob Black, who slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Dustin Lewis earned the win to go to 6-12. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. New York is now 52-89, while Fountain Hills is 67-74.

With New York leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Black hit a fastball from Taylor Motyl for a 2-run home run. It was his 28th home run of the season and put the Nightmare ahead, 3-0.

"I'm proud to wear a New York jersey," Black told the New York Bulletin. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
