Mejia Helps Detroit Cruise to 11-3 Win
The Detroit Giants had no problem beating the New York Nightmare, 11-3, at Ballpark of Detroit. Angelo Mejia, who is tied for 6th in the AC in RBI with 108, led the onslaught. He was 3-3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for Detroit. The Giants improved to 75-66.

In the first inning, Mejia had a 3-run home run for Detroit. It was his 29th home run of the season and put the Giants on top, 4-0.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Giants manager Sean O'Leary.
