The Austin Desperados locked up a win at Trash Panda Field, knocking off the Toronto Trash Pandas, 9-3. On the mound for Austin was left-hander Sam Campos. He played a major role in the triumph. Campos, who is tied for 2nd in the AC in complete games with 11, went the distance for Austin. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Toronto.

Austin used a well-timed hit by Mike Doherty to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Desperados ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it was important.

"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Matt Armijo.
