In a low-scoring affair between the Cincinnati Royals and the Halifax Heathens, pitcher Miguel Leon was the difference between victory and defeat. The Cincinnati right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Royals win. With the victory, the Royals upped their record to 85-55.
Cincinnati used a well-timed hit by Scott King to capture the win. The shortstop socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Royals ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Leon called the win "an overall solid one."
