Dallas wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Kyle Connell, falling to the Indianapolis Eagles, 4-3. Connell threw 7.2 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Cameron Hutchinson recorded the save, his 18th. The defeat makes Dallas 49-90.

Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Gene DeRosier to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Eagles on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Dallas manager Juan Gonzales.
