Boston and Charleston duked it out and the Whistlers came out victorious.

The Boston Whistlers picked up a win at Whislters Park, knocking off the Charleston Shiners, 6-4. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Pat Wilber. He played a key role in the triumph. The American Conference Central Division-leading Whistlers have a record of 30-27.

The Whistlers got a big at-bat from second baseman Keith Roberts. For the game, Roberts was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Boston a 6-3 lead.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Roberts.
