Caribou Lose to Marauders, 7-5
|
With center fielder Manuel Rosas leading the charge, the Philadelphia Marauders defeated the Vancouver Caribou, 7-5, at Marauders Ballpark. Rosas, who finished 2nd in the AC in OPS with .996 in 2023, was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Philadelphia is now 82-57, 15½ games up in the American Conference North East Division.
Johnny McCargar, who led the AC in doubles with 41 in 2021, contributed to the Philadelphia win with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said McCargar.
