Giants Best Desperados in Pitching Duel

Detroit left-hander Quito Herrera pitched his team to victory over the Austin Desperados at Ballpark of Detroit. The final score was 2-1. Herrera, the winner, moves to 10-6. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 5 walks. Chris Fitzsimmons earned his 29th save in 35 chances.
