Scorpions Beat Sandusky, 6-5
The Syracuse Scorpions defeated the Sandusky Seagulls, 6-5, at Scorpion Stadium. Syracuse third baseman Bobby Tapia had a superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Jonathan Marich snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-1 on the season. Mike Fisher suffered the loss. The last-place Scorpions go to 50-87.

The Scorpions were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 25-year old shortstop Tim Ferro landed a big blow. He turned a full count fastball from Mike Fisher into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Scorpion Stadium denizens into a frenzy and sent the Scorpions home with a thrilling 6-5 win.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Tapia, "one at-bat at a time."
