Philadelphia Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
|
Vancouver turned a good effort from starter Nick Douglass into a win over the Philadelphia Marauders at Mounties Field. The Mounties won the game, 4-2. Douglass yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 8-11. Picking up his 29th save was fan favorite Chris Brown.
Josh Elder chipped in a 2-run single for Vancouver in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Philadelphia manager Danny Ordaz.
The losing skid has reached 6 games for Philadelphia.
