Toronto Loses, 10-8, Despite Salas Performance
Despite a great performance by Toronto designated hitter Sam Salas, the Dallas Dragons defeated the Trash Pandas by the score of 10-8 at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. Salas was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Picking up the save was two-time All-Star Mike Braasch. With the win over Toronto, the Dragons improved to 62-75.

Had Jay Pearson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Pearson hit a 2-run single. That made the score 9-8, in favor of the Dragons.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Pearson.
