Wild Things Lose to Scorpions, 2-0
Syracuse Scorpions starter Tyler Hildebrand turned in a top-notch performance against the Cleveland Wild Things at Scorpion Stadium. The result was a win for the Scorpions, 2-0. Earning the save was Omar Trujillo. He's now cashed in 39 of 41 save opportunities. Syracuse goes to 78-59. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.

The Scorpions got a big at-bat from first baseman Matthew Anders. For the game, Anders was 1-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 21st double of the season gave Syracuse a 1-0 lead.

"It's Baseball 101," said Syracuse manager Keegan Flowers. "Fundamentals."
