Maness Deals Phoenix 8-4 Setback
Cincinnati Royals starter Stuart Maness pitched a strong game against the Phoenix Gladiators at Gladiators Ballpark, leading the Royals to victory, 8-4. Wayne Harless notched his 34th save of the season. With the win, Cincinnati raised its record to 70-66.

Maness, a native of Three Lakes, Florida, was dealing all game. He kept Phoenix hitters off-balance, while giving the Royals 7.2 quality innings. Maness threw 99 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Cincinnati skipper Justin Aaron.
